Historical Manuscripts Commission - Manorial Documents Register (MDR)

The Manorial Documents Register (MDR) is maintained by this Commission, on behalf of the Master of the Rolls, as a record of the whereabouts of manorial documents in England and Wales. Manorial records survive today in many national and local record offices and in some cases in private hands. The Commission itself holds no manorial records. Although the majority of the MDR is not computerised, certain sections are available via the Web, including Wales and parts of England. [self-description]
